WOKE Vs. Rich Upper-class

For years, America has been warned about the terrifying rise of the “woke agenda”—a mysterious ideology so powerful that it can apparently infiltrate schools, corporations, Hollywood, the military, your local coffee shop and, presumably, your grandmother’s Facebook feed.

But what exactly is this woke agenda?

Nobody seems entirely sure. And I can’t help but ask: Why?

Some say it means treating people equally. Others insist it means acknowledging that poor people exist.

Still others believe it involves pronouns, electric cars and a government employee somewhere forcing everyone to watch documentaries about recycling.

Whatever it is, one thing is certain: the political right is absolutely terrified of it.

Especially the wealthy political right.

Because nothing threatens a person’s freedom quite like the possibility that someone might suggest they already have enough money.

Oh, the horror.

The average billionaire, after all, is already carrying an enormous burden.

Imagine having only $8 billion when your competitor has $11 billion. How are you supposed to sleep at night knowing there are $3 billion fewer dollars between you and financial security?

This is why the woke agenda must be stopped.

Rich people simply can't function under these conditions. And frankly, it's not fair.

It encourages dangerous ideas like paying workers a living wage, making corporations follow environmental regulations and expecting billionaires to contribute a little more to the society that helped make their fortunes possible.

Radical stuff.

The woke agenda also apparently wants people to be nice to one another. Naturally, this has become controversial. Who can imagine such a dangerous concept as being nice without immediately turning everything into a political tribal war?

Conservative commentators have spent years warning that “wokeness” is destroying America, often from studios owned by corporations whose executives make millions of dollars annually.

They rail against cancel culture while selling advertising to companies that fire employees for practically any reason. They defend free speech while demanding that schools, libraries and corporations remove anything that makes them uncomfortable.

And they condemn government handouts right up until their favorite industry needs one. Then suddenly, socialism is rebranded as “economic development.”

Perhaps the greatest threat posed by the woke agenda is the dangerous suggestion that wealth might come with responsibility.

Imagine.

A billionaire might be expected to pay taxes.

A corporation might be expected to protect its employees.

A politician might be expected to represent voters instead of donors.

And a millionaire might occasionally have to hear the word “no.”

At that point, civilization itself could collapse. So let us remain vigilant. Watch your neighbors. Check your grocery store. Inspect the pronouns.

And if you see someone suggesting that the richest people in America could probably survive with slightly less money, immediately report them to the nearest person driving a $90,000 pickup truck while complaining about inflation.

Because freedom isn't free.

Apparently, it costs about $14.7 billion—and somebody has to make sure nobody else gets any.
